Overview

The Desktop Engineer is responsible for the setup, maintenance, upgrades, and day-to-day support of the Enterprise computer images and management of infrastructure hardware and software inventory.

Employee will need to be office based for the first 90 days of employment. Once fully trained, employee will be eligible for a hybrid-remote schedule with 2-3 days in office each week.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain documentation and reporting capabilities, produce progress, problem and status reports, as requirement by management.
• Work with Vendors for prompt problem resolution, participate in incident, change, and problem management.
• Hardware and Software installation, configuration and maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning.
• Meet Customer Service requirements by monitoring and managing the support queue (ITSM) throughout each business day.
• Work with IT team to ensure that every support ticket is addressed in a timely manner

Qualifications

• An Associate’s degree from technical school, or at least three years of related work experience is required.
• A Bachelor’s in computer science or information technology is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing small to medium-sized technology projects is required.
• Must have experience and working knowledge of computer hardware, software, imaging configuration/process and inventory management.
• Must have customer support experience, including support of end-users, and have knowledge of HIPAA regulations and requirements.
• Experience and/or knowledge in:
• All Windows (especially Windows 10) computer hardware and software configurations
• Administration and support of software packaging and distribution
• Desktop operation system builds and deployment
• Automated desktop patching
• Single sign-on and password reset
• Desktop monitoring and performance management
• Desktop quality assurance
• Inventory management.
• Possess high level of problem determination and resolution skill set, troubleshooting abilities in a multi-tier architecture.
• Clear communication skills with users, management, and across functional teams are required.
• Ability to build and maintain solutions driven by organizational strategy and objectives.
