Englewood Health is Hiring a Manager Infection Prevention Near Englewood, NJ

Job Summary:
Leads, plans, implements and coordinates an Infection Prevention Program designed to prevent and control the transmission of infections in the Medical Center and has the authority to institute any surveillance, prevention and control measures or studies when there is reason to believe that any patient or personnel may be in danger, as directed by Chairperson of the Infection Prevention Committee. Manages staff for optimum performance.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • Previous proven experience and expertise in first line management position commensurate with the clinical demands of the division position (3-5 years)
  • Broad-based clinical exposure with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in med/surg environment; experience in advanced managed care environment
  • Progressive management experience
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with the practices and principles of Infection Prevention and Control
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret data/statistics, determine areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with all constituents (including patients, families, physicians, payors, external facilities, other departments, staff)
  • Education Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Nursing or other health-related field preferred
  • License/Certification/Registry:
  • Current N.J. State Nursing Licensure
  • Eligible to qualify for certification within 3 years
