Engineers and Constructors International, Inc. is Hiring an Operations Support Engineer Near Pittsburgh, PA
- BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of controls system engineering support to operating units
- Experience with gas phase polyethylene reactor and control/interlock/automation schemes [Preferred]
- Emerson DeltaV knowledge. [Preferred]
- Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment; communicates and collaborates effectively
- Design/asset optimization activities require a fundamental understanding of process engineering (guided by standards and procedures). Undertakes designs of new process units / retro-fits of existing assets, troubleshooting and process optimization which require integration of other disciplines e.g. economics, utilities and process control.
- Works with minimal supervision, which requires a comprehensive combination of applied and theoretical knowledge. Job requires a solid understanding of standard principles. Applies standard techniques or procedures where applicable to assigned tasks. Identifies areas of improvement when applying the existing methodology and suggests changes. Technical decisions need to be approved by a Technical Authority.
- Integrates related discipline activities to achieve delivery which is safe (all aspects of HSSE - personal/process safety and environment), fit for purpose and meeting cost-value optimization.
- Performs specified tasks within design, operation, or maintenance of facilities/plant.
- Engages with one or more (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical issues.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Polyethylene (PE) Finishing to support start up and early run-and-maintain
- Provide subject matter expertise on Polyethylene (PE) Finishing to onboard and training new engineering staff
