About This Role

ESi is seeking a Design Drafter to prepare preliminary through final construction drawings for a variety of structural and architectural repair projects. A successful candidate will work under the direction of an ESi engineer to develop neat, legible structural and architectural construction documents that meet company and client quality standards and support the Engineering processes for a wide variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Help to develop AutoCAD/Revit libraries, drawings, templates and details
• Help to develop company drafting standards
• Use AutoCAD/Revit to prepare construction documents
• Create and modify structural and architectural details (required) - Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical details a plus
• Coordinate with engineers and implement engineer's markups / comments
• Clean backgrounds from architect
• Set up drawings with external references
• Set up sheets to create a structural or architectural set of drawings
• Check for inconsistencies and other coordination issues between drawings
• When required, communicate verbally and in writing with clients, other consultants and contractors
• Perform other duties as the need is apparent or as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Experience

• 2 years of drafting experience minimum
• Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for drafting structural and architectural drawings
