Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is an engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. Our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents, equipment failures, personal injury claims, and damage to residential or commercial structures. About this Role 
Assist in business/financial analysis and reporting, operational metrics tracking, collecting data, and preparing financial performance reports for regular leadership reviews, and any other related tasks that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Provide financial management support to the HR team as well as technical leadership.
  • Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data.
  • Assist in building budgets and forecasts of future company performance.
  • Use data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
  • Use tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
Education Required: 
  • BS/BA in Finance, accounting, business analytics, economics, or related quantitative field.
Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications: 
  • 1-3 Years of related work experience.
  • Strong financial / business modeling, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to establish and achieve predefined tasks, along with great organizational skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to prioritize task, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information, investment decisions, or any other tasks assigned by the organization.
Computer Skills:
  • Data analytics and good IT skills – Proficiency in big data analysis, PowerBI, MS Access, Excel, Power-Point, accounting software (3E), financial modeling, SQL (Not required but a plus), and analysis applications.
