POSITION SUMMARY

Engineered Products is seeking a candidate to fill our Industrial Cleaner role in Greenville, SC. The Industrial Cleaner will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the manufacturing facility and product quality. Working in tandem with the paint line, this role will be responsible for cleaning, scraping, and buffing metal racks and pieces. This hands-on role requires the use of various tools, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to safely and effectively complete cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean, scrape, and buff metal racks and pieces to remove dirt, debris, and imperfections.
• Work in tandem with the paint line to ensure that surfaces are properly prepared for painting.
• Use a variety of tools, equipment, and chemicals to complete cleaning tasks effectively.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure safety.
• Adhere to established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including bending, lifting, and standing.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate cleaning tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and solvents.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial painting, industrial cleaning, or related field, preferred.
• Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
