Job Description

The ideal Welder candidate will provide technical expertise, direction and support to cross-functional teams working on lithium separation technologies, and will lead design and manufacturing processes to support our Operations and Engineering needs. This individual will be responsible for planning and executing projects that focus on new product development, and existing technology improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•  Welding steel in all positions for the following types of projects: Tanks and liquid processing equipment, structural steel in all positions for hull replacement (up to ¾” steel).
• Pipe fitting, equipment setting, and other general fabrication activities. 
• Selection and setup of appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements.
•  Welding project prep, including workspace and material planning, moving heavy material with forklifts, grinding, fixturing, measuring, etc.
•  Testing and inspecting welded surfaces for flaws.
•  Cutting steel using plasma, oxyacetylene, propane, and other cutting methods.
•  Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
• Some hands-on technical manufacturing experience ( for example, CNC, Heat Treat, Assembly, Surface Treatment, NDT, and similar).
• Proficient in the development and evaluation of device designs using CAD, FEA, ANSYS, or similar.
