Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Operations Leader in the Mining and Chemical Operations sector to oversee and manage our operational activities in the US and South America. As an Operations Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of engineering and chemical processes, optimizing productivity, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Build, Deploy and Operate pilot and demonstration plants utilizing EnergyX technologies.

Lead, coordinate, and supervise daily field operations related to engineering and chemical processes. Plants will be different capacities and combinations of EnergyX core technologies.

Ensure adherence to operational procedures, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and ensure that the extraction processes meet all environmental and safety standards.

EPC Firm, Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Work with suppliers and vendors to source equipment, materials, and services necessary for the implementation of extraction processes.

Demo Plant operations:

Determine operational requirements, and work needs including supporting chemicals, membranes, spare parts, etc.

Coordinate shipping requirements for equipment and other materials to customer site locations.

Prepare budget estimates for Demo plant operations over a six-month duration.

Ensure an appropriate plan is developed to effectively work on site under customer expectations.

Develop operational plan for commercial contracts with customers:

Prepare detailed budget estimates for commercial operations.

Ensure detailed plans for company/contractor work requirements and labor needs for field operations.

Develop cost estimate and operations plan for consumables replacement in field.

Consider customer experience plans/goals and objectives as part of preparing operational

Plan.

Team Leadership:

Provide strong leadership to a team of engineers, technicians, and operators, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance assessments, and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement within engineering and chemical operations.

Collaborate with engineering and research teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance overall operational efficiency.

Safety and Compliance:

Uphold a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety training, and promoting awareness of potential hazards.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, research and development, quality control, and supply chain, to achieve seamless coordination and alignment of operational goals.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on operational performance, challenges, and solutions.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate progress, results, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the field.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

10 years of relevant experience in field operations within the engineering and chemical sectors, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong technical expertise in chemical processes, equipment, and systems.

Demonstrated track record of leading and managing teams to achieve operational excellence.

In-depth understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

Proven ability to drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
