DISPATCH JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Field incoming communications from customers, managing trucking requests and load information
· Communicate with drivers and assign routes using customer schedule/requests and pad data (if applicable), driver locations and optimized routes to ensure efficiency
· Assist drivers with problem resolution before departing yard or while in route
· Adhere to customer schedule and communicate with customer on changes or issues while in route
· Assign trucks to drivers to ensure effective utilization of fleet
· Ensure drivers perform pre-trip checks and depart yard in timely manner
· Communicate with shop on repairs and maintenance
· Communicate with customer on schedule needs and issues and always maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
· Monitor all communication threads to ensure timely response with customer, other ET locations and drivers
· Assign and keep track of company equipment and PPE (i.e. iPads, gas monitors, etc.)
· Perform all calibration and maintenance on gas monitors, working with safety on replacements.
· Work with IT to ensure iPads are properly functioning and up to date.
· Record and document information from drivers and distribute to appropriate personnel
· Utilize GPS (Geotab) to track drivers along route and ensure schedules are maintained and proper routes are followed; make sure drivers are signed into system at start of shift for proper tracking
· Record and document dispatches in load board to ensure all loads and information are captured for billing
· Record and document route information from drivers if issues arise and work to resolve the issues timely and efficiently
· Record and document shift notes that capture shift activity, changes in schedules, driver issues and other important information that is relevant to the day’s operations
· Perform shift change meetings and communicate pertinent information to drivers from customers or management
· Communicate safety information to the safety department and follow all chains of communication when an incident occurs including but not limited to truck incidents, spills, workers compensation incidents, and other safety related incidents
· Keep track of daily staffing and record instances of absences and send to HR department
· Communicate regularly with dispatch team including dayshift/nightshift and other supporting staff and ensure pertinent information is disseminated between all dispatch personnel
· Perform and document camera audits of drivers
· Disseminate safety information as assigned by the safety department
· Work with other ET departments on truck needs and availability to ensure maximum fleet utilize and customer service
· Work with Accounting department to resolve billing questions and ticket problems
· Maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with customers and ET personnel
· All other duties as assigned by management
EQT Specific Responsibilities
· Communicate with Water Tower on all pertinent information in regard to schedule, route issues, pad issues, etc.
· Utilize and monitor Salesforce for schedule assignments and driver ticket completion
· Review load orders to ensure completion accuracy
· Accept schedule assignments as specified by EQT and reject Load Orders that do not have water available to haul according to tank reports
· Monitor tank reports to ensure effective water management and avoidance of high tank alarms, prioritize high producing wells, communicate tank reporting issues to water tower
· Communicate pad issues to proper personnel at EQT
· Communicate safety issues to ET Safety Department and EQT Hotline
· Monitor all communication threads in to ensure timely response to EQT Water Tower
