Summary:
Seeking a dynamic, professional who will be a key part of the Partnership’s NGL and Refined Products Revenue Accounting Team. The NGL & Refined Products Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for the administration and accounting for all NGL & Refined Product pipelines, fractionators, storage, marketing and export activities in the US.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- The individual in this role should have the initiative and drive to gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end NGL and Refined Products business and enjoy working across multiple departments in support of the business and other members of the team.
- Assist in preparation of monthly pipeline invoicing and reporting packages
- Provide invoices to customers on a monthly basis
- Assist in preparation of journal entries
- Track and log manual journal entries on monthly basis
- Prepare invoice and back-up support for miscellaneous customer billings
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of intercompany & affiliate company transactions
- Management, review & monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Maintain SOX internal control processes
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit process
- Assist with quarterly FERC filings
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external users
- Ad hoc requests by internal management
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 0-2 years of experience – can include public accounting experience within the energy sector
- Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
- Excellent organization skills and work habits
- Able to work comfortably in fast paced, unpredictable environment
- Comfortable working in a team environment, including interaction with measurement, scheduling, commercial, contract administration and marketing departments
- Strong Excel skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP and Entero application systems preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Office

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
