ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP^® is searching for a Measurement & Verification (M&V) Intern to join our Public Sector team, located at our Newburgh, Indiana or Indianapolis, Indiana office. This internship will be full-time, Monday through Friday, over the 2024 summer break. The position will be on site.

As our Measurement & Verification Intern, you will perform or assist in typical responsibilities assigned to M&V Analysts/Engineers. The intern will work closely with assigned mentor and will become familiar with other duties associated with project development and implementation.

The essential functions of the position include:

• Utility analysis – review customer supplied utility bills and information, compile into spreadsheet format for analysis, review data and comment on trends
• M&V Performance Reports – create high quality/high value performance reports that convey added value and analysis of cost reduction to contract specifications and/or guarantees (Options A, B, C, D and Non-Measured Savings) to the client
• M&V Construction Related Activities – ensure M&V construction related actives are completed during construction and provide feedback to project management and M&V team
• M&V Project Development Related Activities – assist M&V Engineer and engineering team with development of appropriate M&V methodologies
• Special projects such as developing a revised utility analysis spreadsheet template or a calculator
• Administrative tasks – such as time sheets, team meetings, and exit interview, and other duties

Your background includes:

• Junior or Senior level standing at an accredited institution studying some form of Engineering, Business, Law, Finance, Math, or related field
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better
• Strong work ethic
• Communicate well both verbally and written
• Substantial interest in one of ESG’s fields (Utility expense reduction, Renewables (Solar, Landfill Gas, etc.)
