Position Summary

As a Production Supervisor for Energizer’s Global Auto Care division, you will be responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating production operations of the plant in a team-based, lean manufacturing-orientated, end-to-end liquid-fill production & distribution environment.

You will deliver effective administration of policies and procedures and utilization of all resources to optimize operational efficiency, material utilization, and labor flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of the entire 500,000 square foot Plant, Value Stream, or assigned area providing direction to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery,
• Support the facility management in achieving high colleague morale
• Provide direct leadership and consistently administers Energizer policies and work rules to ensure conformity
• Maintain working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity and provide direction & guidance to achieve deliverables
• Develop and coordinate production / maintenance schedules and human resource planning (optimizing flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment)
• Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances, develop necessary controls to monitor these areas, and promote problem solving to address variances
• Promote safety, health and environmental initiatives as well as 5S and Housekeeping within assigned area
• Determine training needs and administers colleague training for assigned area
• Promote high-level performance of hourly employees including performance appraisals
• Demonstrate a proactive and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Lead and / or facilitates improvement efforts / special projects related to safety, quality, cost, etc.
• Promote and champion team initiatives, colleague ownership and empowerment

What we are looking for

• Ability to work 3pm-11 : 30pm with flexibility
• Bachelor's in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or other appropriate fields, OR equivalent experience
• 5 years of supervisory experience of 25-45 direct reports, decision-making and driving culture, developing the team in a production and / or maintenance environment with organizational and motivational abilities
• Strong experience adhering to metrics and KPI’s around safety, quality, and cost
• Both a strong practical, technical understanding as well as good facilitation and communication skills
• Knowledge and / or experience in applying lean principles

What we prefer (not required)

• Knowledge of chemical blend
• Mechanical aptitude to assist with upgrading the environment from an engineering or manufacture engineering background
