Enerflex is Hiring a Vessel Fitter II Near Houston, TX
Summary
In this entry level role, the Vessel fitter can layout per approved vessel drawings, pass fit-up inspections with minimal guidance, and fit up Fabricated parts to Vessel Shell. Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Has some degree of general knowledge of all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
- Basic knowledge of Vessel drawings.
- Bridge tack with GMAW.
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
- EE must align with EFX visions and values.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or 1 year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 year of relevant industrial experience required.
- Must have general knowledge of Vessel Drawings.
- Must be qualified in GMAW.
- Use torch to burn holes in shells
- Has knowledge on all shop tools
- Demonstrates knowledge on the vessel fitting processes Per ASME.
- Requires oversight on more complex fitups.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Primary functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
- Works under immediate supervision.
Physical Requirements
Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
