Duties:

• Maintain an active funeral director license to facilitate the crematory's transition to a licensed funeral establishment.
• Manage pre-need sales and contracts
• Monitor and guide funeral service trainees pursuing their funeral director diploma.
• Ensure the establishment is in compliance with FTC and NC Board of Funeral Service requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of bodies for viewing services and cremations (training and licensing will be provided).
• Assist with outreach and promotion of the business.
• Collaborate with the owner to facilitate the success of the newly licensed funeral establishment.
• Prepare and file necessary legal documents, such as death certificates and permits
• Manage funeral home operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and facility maintenance

Requirements:

- Valid Funeral Director license in North Carolina
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to funeral services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with grieving families
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and compassion
- Attention to detail for proper handling of deceased individuals

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
