Summary

Provides maintenance oversight to keep facilities operational. Primary role is to ensure that all equipment, machinery and facilities are in proper working condition to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Essential Functions

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the entire building including all warehouse equipment, forklifts, packaging machines, material handling equipment, docks and dock doors, lighting, plumbing, HVAC and general building maintenance.
• Keeps and manages maintenance schedules, ensures regular inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently with minimal disruption to operations.
• Supervise custodian staff / contracted cleaning services for respective facility.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and system failures. Identify the root causes of issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions to warehouse staff.
• Work on capital projects with direction from management to include coordinating vendors and staying in budget.
• Maintain open lines of communication with other warehouse staff and external contractors.
• Ensure outside property maintenance is completed including lawn care, shrub maintenance and snow removal.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with Endries safety policies and procedures.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong knowledge of equipment, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficient in reading and writing
• Good communication skills to convey maintenance instructions and report issues to leads
• Supervisory experience
• Forklift license or be willing to learn

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma is required
• Associate degree in maintenance, electro-mechanical or related degree is preferred
• 2-5 years of previous maintenance experience required

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment where steel toe shoes and high visibility apparel are required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly on the warehouse floor in a temperature controlled environment. This would require the ability to carry maintenance items to job sites, operate forklifts and use various tools. This position may be required to work in outside elements doing snow/ice removal.
