Seeking an experienced, innovative, and collaborative leader to guide and grow our team at Veterinary Care and Specialty Group (VCSG)! Veterinary Care and Specialty Group is poised to become the largest multi-disciplinary veterinary hospital in the region! 

This is an incredible opportunity to support a team of over 120 professionals dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care. This 24/7 hospital offers many disciplines including emergency, critical care, radiation and medical oncology, neurology, surgery, anesthesiology, rehabilitation, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and more!

As our Hospital Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing our hospital's operations, ensuring top-notch patient care, fostering a positive work environment, and driving financial success. As a leader of leaders, the Hospital Administrator is responsible for providing strategic vision, setting goals, and developing the leaders on the team. With many different departments in one location, collaboration and teamwork are the keys to success. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of veterinary specialty practice management, and a commitment to excellence

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the hospital operations, including administrative, financial, and clinical functions 
  • Supervise and support veterinary specialists, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes 
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards 
  • Collaborate with referring veterinarians and specialists to coordinate patient care and referrals 
  • Foster and develop strong relationships within the veterinary community 
  • Oversee inventory management, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep 
  • Handle client communications, addressing inquiries, and ensuring exceptional customer service 
  • Monitor financial performance and work towards achieving hospital goals and targets 
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field (preferred) 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in veterinary specialty practice management or a similar role 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Knowledge of veterinary specialty medical terminology and procedures 
  • Proficiency in veterinary practice management software 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment 
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and client satisfaction
