What you'll do:

  • Supervises services to homebound patients in their place of residence in accordance with attending physician orders and plans of care and strives to provide the highest quality of care.
  • Be alert and active in supporting facility’s commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respect for residents’ rights.
  • Provide overall leadership to facility’s delivery of nursing care services, including staff recruiting, supervision, training, and discipline, quality assurance, medical records, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Determine on an ongoing basis facility’s nursing staff needs and take steps necessary to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate the delivery of nursing services and maintain standards that are in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Executive Director/Administrator in representing the facility in community, professional, and peer groups and activities.
  • Stay informed concerning developments and trends affecting long term care and assist Executive Director/Administrator in strategic planning.
  • An employee’s work schedule may occasionally be changed to include shifts different than the one for which the employee was hired.
  • An employee who is injured on the job will, with the approval of a physician, be assigned to transitional or “light duty” job responsibilities pending recovery and return to his or her regular position.
  • Each employee has the responsibility to become familiar with and follow the facility’s:
  • Policies and procedures on residents’ rights
  • Safety and disaster preparedness procedures
  • Exposure control plan, especially as it related to the employee’s position
  • Procedures for correct use of personal protective equipment
  • Procedures for preventing the spread of infection
  • Procedures for using good body mechanics and safety transferring residents.

Who you are:

  • Must hold a current Oregon state license as a RN and have a Community Based Care Experience – assisted living or memory care.
  • Must have excellent knowledge and skills relating to geriatric nursing care practice and federal and state regulations applicable to long term care facilities.
  • Must be able to provide leadership to resident care functions, such as: infection control, quality assurance, staff recruiting, training, supervision, and protection of residents’ rights.
  • Must be able to work well with residents, family members, physicians and staff.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
