Georgia-Pacific in West Monroe, LA , is seeking safety-oriented individuals for the position of Production Associate. Production Associates play an integral part in maintaining the success of the plant by providing coverage and support for various machine centers throughout the plant.

Our Production Associates work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed in an unairconditioned, noisy, and high-volume environment.
Production Associates perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and / or pulling for at least 12 hours.
The normal shift is 12-hour shift depending on production workflow. This position is on a rotating shift working first shift and then rotating to 2nd shift the following week;
12-hour third shift times are also possible depending on workflow.
Work hours : 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am Work hours subject to change by notice.
Salary : $16.81 per hour

What You Will Do In Your Role :
- Assisting with the operation of machinery to expected performance levels.
- Assisting with set-ups, troubleshooting, and making minor machine adjustments.
- Keeping designated work area clean throughout shift to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.
- Maintaining strict adherence to all safety rules and regulations to include wearing safety equipment.
- Operate and / or work around mobile equipment.
Requirements :
- Work experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, construction, military, or warehouse environment.
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
What Will Put You Ahead :
- One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and / or industrial environment.
- Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.
- Experience working on a die cutter.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Experience working on an industrial laminator.
Our facility in West Monroe LA is a leading corrugated box manufacturer and part of our Packaging division. We manufacture standard corrugated containers as well as many specialty packaging products such as corrugated packaging used in storing food items and bulk containers.
