About the Role:

As the Accounting Leader at Enavate, you will collaborate closely with the CFO and Senior Leader of Finance and Accounting to spearhead the management, development, and expansion of the accounting function. This pivotal role encompasses overseeing the month-end close process, financial reporting, banking, cash management, M&A add-on integration, and delivering strategic financial insights crucial for informed business decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in propelling the company towards financial success and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a dynamic accounting team (up to 5 team members), and oversee the full-cycle accounting process.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to US GAAP standards (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
• Month-end Close: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Audit Oversight: Lead the monitoring and oversight of internal control processes and coordinate financial audits with external auditors.
• Cash Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements to ensure financial stability and growth.
• Tax Planning: Oversee tax planning and compliance for federal, state, and local tax obligations, collaborating closely with external tax advisors and agencies.
• M&A and Funding: Assist with accounting due diligence processes for M&A activities and funding rounds, as applicable.
• Technology Integration: Ensure that technology systems utilized for financial reporting are appropriate and leverage new technology to streamline internal processes.
• Process Improvement: Assess current accounting operations, offer recommendations for enhancement, and implement new processes to optimize efficiency.

Professional Experience and Background:

• Proven track record of 10 years in progressive accounting roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles for tech companies.
• Experience in a global accounting organization, managing multiple legal entities under different umbrellas.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and nurturing a team of up to five international members to achieve their best.
• Proactive mindset geared towards spearheading transformative initiatives to enhance controls and streamline accounting systems.
• Attention to detail complemented by outstanding organizational and communication skills.
• Integrated ERP system experience; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
• M&A integration experience is considered advantageous.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree, CPA license, or CMA certification is preferred.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is USD 110K to USD 130K per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
