Enanta Pharmaceuticals is Hiring a Manager, Contracts Near Watertown, MA

Position Summary:
Enanta is seeking a bright, highly motivated, and thorough Contracts Manager experienced in preparing and negotiating contracts in healthcare R&D to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the independent review and negotiation of a wide variety of contracts in support of Enanta’s drug discovery and development programs. You will report to the Associate Director, Contracts & Legal Counsel in the Legal Department and work closely with our highly collaborative team, including the Executive Director, the General Counsel and other team members.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review, edit and negotiate contracts related to the research and development efforts of the Company, including clinical related agreements, master services agreements and related work orders, confidentiality agreements, and consulting agreements.
  • Review, edit and negotiate contracts in support of the general business needs of the Company, including facility and IT related contracts.
  • Utilize Legal department templates to draft and negotiate contracts.
  • Serve as a point of contact for contract questions regarding specific vendors.
  • Work in collaboration with our team to manage contract lifecycle, address specific contracting issues and improve contract function generally.
Qualifications::
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 5 years of demonstrated, relevant experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts in healthcare R&D.
  • Able to think creatively to find common ground in contract negotiations.
  • Strong attention to detail in all aspects of the contracting process.
  • Highly organized self-starter with ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Cooperative team member; accountable; lives up to commitments.
  • Meets deadlines, demonstrates effective use of time, and handles multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficient skills in MS Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ready to learn new applications, including, contract management and financial software.
