LA Testing Inc. is seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst - Lead (Pb) for its Huntington Beach, CA location. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Experienced analysts are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and analysis of environmental and industrial hygiene lead samples by Flame-AA (Flame Atomic Absorption)
Methods to include EPA 7020, 7000, 3050, 3052, (Micro Wave digestion), NIOSH 7303/7300 7082 and miscellaneous OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, ASTM, methods
Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame-AA (Flame Atomic Absorption)
Collect and compile data from tests to generate reports for clients according to our Quality Assurance/Quality Control and EDD standards as directed
Knowledge of laboratory safety and maintaining proper quality control protocols
Maintain proper QC lab protocols
Clerical duties including report generation and data entry of sample receipt.
Maintain, clean and troubleshoot equipment
Cross train in ICP, ICP-MS, Mercury, FIMS, as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Biological Sciences
Must have a desire to be trained and work in a laboratory setting
Previous experience with Flame-AA is a strong plus
Candidate must be able to distinguish between colors in order to perform analysis
Ability to work independently or with a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, with multi-tasking skills, and prioritize assignments
Good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills

Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
