JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Fleet Parts Inventory Clerk
Exempt (Y/N): No
Reports To: Fleet Supervisor
Summary:
Under the direction of the Fleet Supervisor, this position is responsible for the daily activities necessary for EMS fleet parts warehouse operations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining adequate inventory levels through the purchase and receipt of parts and supplies, performing regular inventory inspections, updating the inventory management system and routinely assess vendor pricing of parts and supplies and picking up parts from various locations as well as deliver and pick up vehicles from outside repair facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all functions necessary to maintaining adequate inventory levels including purchasing and receiving of parts and supplies.
Routinely assess vendor pricing of parts and supplies to assure the purchase of quality products at the best price.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels by using standard inventory management procedures that include regular inventory inspections, placing and receiving orders, and updating the inventory management system.
Capable of driving to pick up parts from various locations as well as deliver and pickup vehicles from outside repair facilities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment (including biohazard maintenance).
Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws (i.e. HIPPA, and OSHA).
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of staff to ensure maximum communication and cooperation in addition to being responsive to field personnel issues.
Participate in departmental and company meetings as required.
Attend continuing education and training to obtain information and data pertinent to supply and inventory management.
Performs other such duties as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years’ experience Parts Inventory Management
Valid Drivers License
Familiar with inventory management systems
Familiar with Ford and Chevrolet diesel engine parts
Preferred relationships with Ford and Chevrolet diesel engine parts suppliers
Physical Requirements:
Frequently: Lifting, kneeling, stooping, bending, leaning, hearing/listening, clear speech, reaching, touching, typing.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Working Environment:
Works outdoors and indoors with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions, blood/body fluids, fumes/odors, extended day and temperature changes.
Frequently: works with others, face-to-face contact with others with exposure to noise, mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment.
