EmpRes Operated by Evergreen is currently seeking a CERTIFIED DIETARY MANAGER / FOOD & NUTRITION MANAGER to manage our dietary department within our organization, spreading over 8 states, and over 55 skilled nursing, assisted and independent living centers.
- Manages dietary policies and processes with the assistance of the Dietitian.
- Represent the dietary department at staff meetings and communicate pertinent information to staff.
- Compliance verification at both State and Federal levels of participation for long-term care.
- Adapts menu cycle to individual and Center preferences with the Dietitian.
- Supervises procurement, ordering, receiving, and storage of food.
- Supervises food preparation and service, including direct participation as needed.
- Ensures all standards and requirements are met with regard to:
- sanitation and cleaning
- food service
- ordering and storage of food and sanitation supplies
- dietary staff hygiene
- equipment maintenance and upkeep (food service and otherwise)
- Ability to work collaboratively with Center and Divisional leadership.
- Direct communication with Center residents to obtain preferences, recommendations, etc.
- Required Certified Dietary Manager at time of employment, or to be obtained within 9 months of employment
- Required Foodservice operation management (including working management)
- Required Moderate to heavy lifting (50-pound maximum), bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Preferred Passion for food and residents, so a long-term care knowledge would be wonderful!
- Food safety certification at time of employment, or to be obtained immediately upon hire.
- Optional career profiles to be considered Registered Dietitian with a foodservice background, a Chef with long-term care knowledge
- Ability to read and write in English, with knowledge of arithmetic and units of measurement used in food preparation.
- Preferred Computer literate, with specific knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
- Preferred Finance/budget understanding
