Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Physical Plant Supervisor, you will:
- Establish a team environment that fosters a culture of safety and quality
- Write new and correct existing documents to reflect current work practices
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
- Plan and direct department activities to obtain safe and efficient operations
- Oversee inclement weather plans
Position Details:
The Physical Plant Supervisor position:
- Starts at $19 per hour
- Is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package
- Works year-round; schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with an occasional evening or weekend for football games and other special events
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- A valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED with at least five years of supervisory experience in the landscaping or grounds maintenance field. Relevant education may substitute for some required experience.
- Must have or obtain commercial pesticide applicator license within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with installation, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems
- Athletic field painting and maintenance experience
- Horticulture degree or turf grass maintenance coursework
- Skid steer operator knowledge
- Small equipment maintenance knowledge
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or maneuver 75-100 pounds
- Standing or walking for 7 or more hours per shift
- Movements that require manual dexterity, trunk strength, wrist-finger movement, twisting, bending, pushing, and pulling
