Employment Opportunities is Hiring an Outreach Coordinator Near Wenatchee, WA

Job Summary
The Outreach Coordinator‘s primary job function is to coordinate and facilitate the provision of clinical and nonclinical community events, including supporting the growing offering of the CVCH Connect Mobile clinics. The Outreach Coordinator (OC) will coordinate clinical services in an outreach setting, outside of the clinic walls, directly to the community. In addition to providing direct clinical services/screenings, the OC will serve as a liaison between Columbia Valley Community Health and our community by providing assistance to access CVCH services and promoting positive health behaviors. The OC will provide excellent customer service embodying AIDET plus the Promise Principles as well as sufficient support to other members within the Outreach department and volunteers. The OC will be responsible for scheduling and will be asked to provide ideas on how to improve the department’s workflow.

Job Specific Competencies
1. Outreach Coordinator Duties:
a. Understands Studer principles and will go through the proper training with the Training Coordinator.
b. AIDET Plus the Promise Validations
c. Huddle Lead
d. Behavioral Based Interview Trained
e. Participates in interviewing applicants and provides information to the hiring manager.
f. Contributes feedback on staff performance evaluations.
g. Conducts necessary reporting requested by the department manager.
h. In charge of ordering and maintaining appropriate par levels.
i. Assist department manager with onboarding, orientating, and training of staff.
j. Understands the departments policies and procedures thoroughly.
k. Works with department manager to identify process improvements to better help support department, staff and manager.
l. Maintains schedule; forecasting out for three months to ensure there is adequate staffing for each Outreach clinic and nonclinical events.
2. Patient Care Competencies
a. Disposing of bio-hazardous materials.
b. Practicing standard precautions.
c. Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas.
d. Taking vital signs.
e. Finger stick to collect blood specimen.
f. Tests waived under the federal clinical laboratory improvement (CLIA) amendments program.
g. Observing and reporting patients’ signs or symptoms.
h. Telephone and in person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.
i. Maintaining medical and immunization records.
j. Screening and following up on test results as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
3. Outreach Competencies
a. Coordinate and schedule clinical and nonclinical outreach services/events in Chelan and Douglas County.
b. Build partnerships with community members as well as CVCH employees to support planning and execution of successful community events.
c. Greet all patients and guests in a warm and friendly manner.
d. Registers patients; collects and updates patient demographics as needed; assists them with forms if necessary.
e. Schedules appointments for patients using scheduling protocols.

7. Keeps customer service and the mission of the organization in mind when interacting with all clients, coworkers, and others.
8. Must be able to tolerate frequent work interruptions, organize work, and reset priorities in order to complete work responsibilities in a timely manner.
9. Follows all established policies, guidelines, and procedures, including federal and state regulations, to assure safe practices and quality patient care.
10. Follows Universal Precautions and Infection Control Standards and compliance with Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations.

Job Specifications
1. Education: High School graduate or GED required. Prefer AA degree, Business School diploma or some college.

2. Certification/Licensure: Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. CVCH will provide CPR training and certification if one is not active. Must be eligible for Medical Assistant-Registered Licensure. Seven hours of AIDS education and training required. CVCH will provide AIDS education and training. Community Health Worker Certification preferred.

3. Experience: One year in clinic setting or other health care facility providing direct patient care preferred.

4. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Strong organizational skills, inputting data/typing, speaking. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, clearly, answering telephones, precise eye/hand/foot coordination, fingering/precise manipulation. Knowledge of computer applications and equipment related to work. Must have basic computer and keyboarding skills and have the ability to enter data within company’s computer system; must demonstrate manual dexterity. Must have the ability to spell correctly.

5. Interpersonal Skills: Caring attitude, highly flexible, team player. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with management, nursing staff, providers, and other staff members to achieve program outcomes. Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining productive work teams. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under stressful situations. Must be well organized. Skills in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.

6. Essential Physical Requirements: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Essential physical requirements of this job include: repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Moderate to frequent: standing, walking, lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds, using proper lifting techniques and using assistance as needed, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Seldom to moderate sitting. Ability to read forms, computer screens, correspondence and other documents. Must have flexible schedule, able to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.

7. Essential Mental Abilities: Ability to exercise independent judgment within their scope of practice; knowledge of clinical policies and procedures, standards and regulations, ability to follow Joint Commission standards, state and federal regulations; ability to read, comprehend, and analyze documents, regulations and policies; ability to prepare and submit complete documents necessary to the job concisely, accurately and timely. Must be able to pay attention to detail, manipulate/ interpret numbers, perform calculations, advanced assessing/evaluating, problem-solving/reasoning. Must have knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.

8. Essential Sensory Requirements: Essential sensory requirements include the ability to: read computer keyboard, monitor, and documents; prepare and analyze documents; read extensively; receive and convey detailed information orally, by telephone and in person; convey accurate and detailed instructions by speaking to others in person and by telephone.

9. Exposure to Hazards: Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions on a frequent basis with moderate/extreme noise. Possible exposure to toxic materials, communicable diseases, body fluids/blood, and exposure to or use of sharps.

· Sept 1 – Dec 31: 1 diversity day (8 hours if 1.0 FTE)
