The Labor Market Information Division is seeking a self-motivated team player and problem-solving analyst to provide support to internal and external customers related to labor market data.
The Research Data Analyst will collaborate with internal and external customers to create and maintain web-based and stand-alone Labor Market Information (LMI) products, such as dashboards, for the Labor Market Information Division (LMID) and department websites and internal Share Point site, using data visualization software (Tableau & Microsoft Power BI). The analyst will also perform variety of special research projects and studies and process ad hoc requests in consultation with senior researchers and collaboration with various subject matter experts division-wide. Utilize various internal and external LMI databases and statistical software, such as SAS & R, to extract, compile, organize, and analyze data. Prepare and conduct written and oral presentations on research findings.
This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
The office is located at 9323 Tech Center Drive, Suite 1000, Sacramento, CA 95826 with free parking and close to light rail service.

Background Investigation Requirement
The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.
The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department.
