Quality Control Technician
We are currently seeking a candidate with quality inspection experience and knowledge in laboratory procedures for a client in Canton, Ohio!
Shift:
1st Shift Monday-Friday 6am-2pm
Pay:
$15 / hr
Key Responsibilities:
Performing routine color checks visually and with the aid of a computer
Accurately weighing dye & UV for batches
Running tests & evaluations
Maintaining accurate records
Assisting with fade testing responsibilities
Ability to use lab equipment. (i.e., Scales, Calipers, Rulers, etc.)
Performing daily routine audits
Incoming raw material inspections of deco glass, votive light glass, burners, packaging, etc
Assisting other areas of QA/R&D department as necessary
Helps out with miscellaneous Research and Development projects
Conducts warehouse and customer complaint inspections and audits
Completes records and reports as required, production reports, quality control data, etc
Performs direct production labor in area where assigned
Participate in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives
Loads systems with wax and additives and dyes and fragrances
Minimum Requirements:
Quality inspection: 3 years (Required)
Laboratory procedures: 1 year (Required)
Calipers: 1 year (Required)
Color theory: 2 years (Required)
High School diploma required
Knowledge of Company quality and production standards
Strong math skills: basic calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic percent and fractions
Excellent interpersonal/team abilities
Strong decision-making skills Independent and self-starter
Ability to work independently and with a team
Stand up to 8 hours a day
Lifts loads up to 50 pounds
Must be able to tolerate hot conditions
Experience with time management and multitasking
Exhibit sense of ownership and accountability
Strong attention to detail
Adaptable, willing and interested to learn/do new things
Demonstrate comfort with data entry and good computer skills
