Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Open to current NYS employees who are currently in an Economic Development Program Specialist 1 (EDPS 1) title or eligible for transfer under Section 70.

1 of Civil Service Law. Also open to those reachable on the Public Administration Traineeship Transition Program (PATT) eligible list.

This position may be filled as a traineeship. Candidates appointed at the Trainee 1 level must successfully complete a two-year traineeship before advancing to journey-level.

The salary range listed below applies to candidates appointed to EDPS 1, SG-18. The starting salary for candidates appointed to Economic Development Program Specialist Trainee 1 is $49,363 (equated salary at SG-13).

For current NYS employees, the starting salary is based on the candidate’s salary at the time of hire.

Candidates appointed at the trainee level will be required to successfully complete their traineeship in order to advance to the journey-level title and salary.

Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION :

Under the general direction of the Executive Vice President of Real Estate Development & Public / Private Partnership, the incumbent of this position will provide guidance, program information, and payment processing assistance to economic / business development organizations, program stakeholders, and businesses concerning a broad spectrum of economic development issues and initiatives, as they relate to Real Estate Development and Planning.

WORK PERFORMED :

  • Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries surrounding the Radisson Corporate Park land sale.
  • Assist in all facets of ESD’s procedures for the sale of land.
  • Assist in the gathering and coordination of project documents and materials.
  • Draft Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the maintenance of ESD-owned land in the Radisson Corporate Park and manage the vendor selection process.
  • Coordinate with the Town of Lysander, Radisson Community Association, local engineers, surveyors, railroad contractors, and other stakeholders surrounding all matters related to Radisson Corporate Park.
  • Conduct onsite visits to assess compliance with the rules and restrictions outlined in the Radisson Declaration.
  • Prepare payment authorizations for ESD-owned land, tax bills, and other invoices, as required.
  • Submit requisition approval requests using Peoplesoft software.
  • Other relevant projects, as assigned.
