JOB SUMMARY:

TheSenior Managerposition supports and assists with all Empire plants and departments with any obstacles that would affect service to our customers.This position also ensures that customers are promptly, courteously, and professionally served and any questions and problems effectively resolved in a timely matter. The position is the primary point of contact to our customers and disseminating information to our facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Manage direct contact with customers.
    1. Handles all communication with the customer on any request from all plants.
    2. Works directly with customer on opportunities on their raw material packaging.
    3. New item setup One World Sync, SAP, OMS iTrade, ensuring date of expected implementation and all materials needed.
    4. Handles all customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  2. Assists demand planning and purchasing teams on inventory levels across all facilities.
    1. Oversees proper inventory levels to support shelf-life expectations and control product freshness.
    2. Manage demand exceptions related to out of compliance demand, forecast bias, and demand anomalies.
    3. Maximize accuracy of the demand schedule by analyzing historical projections vs. actuals
    4. Support the Supply/Production planning through prioritizing inventory needs, new items forecasts, product phase out and special builds.
    5. Establishes production plans and priorities based on customer requirements.
    6. Resolves daily problems with raw material rejections, productions related changes to ensure 100% fill rate.
    7. Provide clear communication to plants of customer expectations as they evolve.
  3. Support Onboarding of New Customers
    1. Communicate with sales and executive leadership of new customer expectations.
    2. Report to executive leadership on any anomalies or interruptions in executing the project.
  4. Provide sourcing and support for new projects
    1. Work with new and existing suppliers on savings opportunities
    2. Source any new components requested by customers at the best available cost.
    3. Work with plants on customer expectations and delivery dates.
    4. Communicate to customer and executive leadership on any deviations.

5.SupportVMIBuyers

a. Maintain and update demand forecast dates.

  1. Help facilitate communication between customers and plants.
  2. Utilize Excel and other tools to conduct analysis for forecast availability and accuracy.
  3. Work with cross functional teams to ensure that any activity affecting forecasts are accounted for in monthly projections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn Kroger internal systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends (limited hours) on rotating basis.
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Prior Telecommunications experience a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience supply chain, operations, or logistics
  • The ability to communicate effectively with management on all levels and be customer-focused.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, work with a team and be flexible with work schedule.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel: A MUST
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools

ACTIVITIES:

Sedentary office work, sitting for long period of time.

HEARING:

Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

REPETITIVE MOTION:

Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES:

Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Most of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.
