Purchasing & Inventory Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary :

We are looking for a dedicated Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to join our team. This position is a multi-faceted role responsible for maintaining parts inventory, ordering equipment, parts and supplies, and the disbursement of small parts and equipment.

The role is also responsible for identifying suppliers, creating purchase orders, receiving delivered items, and assisting in managing our service truck inventory.

He / she must have a keen sense of business, understanding of inventory principals, strong organization skills with attention to details, and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities :

• Perform frequent inventory audits to monitor stock levels and determine purchase needs.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Pull and fulfill weekly parts request from technicians.
• Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
• Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries·
• Disbursement of parts and supplies to service technicians to facilitate completion of service calls and maintain service truck stock as required.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Windows and Windows Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
