Salary Range $36,000 Annually Commission Eligible
JOB SUMMARY:
Create and maintain a climate that results in successful equipment, rental, parts and service sales. Work closely with support personnel to create and maintain a strong, team driven effort towards customer service excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Represent complete product, rental and service offerings of Empire Power Systems (EPS) capabilities to our client base.
  • Answer client questions about company products, services, warranty adjustments, parts return, credit and finance, and rentals.
  • Present Empire’s strengths and capabilities to the client.
  • Maintain knowledge of the various products and services offered. Make effective use of programs such as Integrated Materials Acquisition Control System (IMACs), Power Systems Quoter (PSQ) and Internet Sales Application (ISA).
  • Stay informed about new product offerings, sales techniques and service updates.
  • Maintain and increase percentage of total sales with each assigned account.
  • Know clients and territory well enough to predict each client’s trend for the coming year.
  • Achieve marketing goals established with the Power Systems Sales Manager.
  • Assist assigned clients in all EPS areas including billings, warranty, purchases, CSA and temporary power needs.
  • Expedite parts and service to clients in remote or outlying areas.
  • Assist in administration of service and product merchandising programs such as Extended Service Agreement (ESC) and Customer Support Agreement (CSA) contracts.
  • Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Continually look for new and improved ways to market EPS services and products.
  • Control all expenses within guidelines as outlined by policy.
  • Keep EPS management personnel current on all competitive activity in assigned territories.
  • Relay any pertinent sales and rental information to the Power Systems Sales Manager. Submit complete and timely reports.
  • Visit new prospects and add new accounts. Meet sales control client contact requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date client call lists and other records.
  • Attend sales and special meetings.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
  • Must accomplish periodic product and self-improvement training and certifications.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to assist clients and employees in a professional manner.
  • Must have sales skills to effectively help the client, overcome objections, and close the sale.
  • Must be well organized to efficiently handle job duties and make effective sales presentations.
  • Must have sufficient engine, generator and switch gear knowledge to understand client's equipment problems and to express these problems to the appropriate people at Empire.
  • Must have strong written communication skills suitable for transmitting detailed technical proposals.
  • Must be able to identify parts and their related areas on the equipment merchandised by EPS.
  • Must have personal computer skills necessary to manage database applications and Microsoft Excel applications.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 1-year industry experience.
  • Previous commercial engine service and parts experience.
  • Previous experience solving technical problems on the products sold and serviced.
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
