**Driver and Maintenance Assistant Summary:**
"We are looking for a versatile candidate to serve as both a Driver and Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will drive our van, ensuring safe transportation for our nursing home residents in the Jackson, GA area. Additionally, you will provide support to our maintenance department in facility upkeep and repairs, contributing directly to the comfort and well-being of our residents and staff."
** Responsibilities:**
Your role encompasses a range of essential tasks, including:
- Keeping the building, van, and grounds clean, safe, and orderly
- Assist all residents to enter and exit vehicle safely.
- Safely secure residents' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
- Maintaining and repairing basic functions of the center
- Taking responsible care of tools and equipment
- Conducting minor repairs on various elements within the facility
- Handling equipment maintenance such as HVAC filters and emergency systems
- Being available on-call for assigned 24-hour periods
- Ensuring our customers and families experience exceptional service in a compassionate atmosphere
**Requirements**
We're looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm and the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) is preferred, but not required
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry
- A strong willingness to learn and contribute to our team
