They are at the "front door" of the business, most often the first point of contact, the helper, the problem solver. It requires a special personality and someone who genuinely enjoys people. Responsibilities

• Cheerfully answers incoming calls with phone traffic that can be heavy at times
• Uses effective communication skills to take messages and forward them to the appropriate person
• Determines the relative importance of phone calls
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee directories and notifying company personnel of a visitor’s arrival
• Provides administrative assistance as needed
• Directs customer questions and concerns to the appropriate department personnel
• Creates a good first impression for customers with a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
• Completes other responsibilities as assigned, which may include cashiering

• Reliable and dependable with a good attendance record
