Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk has the unique responsibility in reviewing invoices for payment. Overview consists of review for original invoice, correctness of account number, authorization to pay, matching to purchase orders issued by the materials management department and communicating with departmental inquiries as well as inquiries from vendors. Responsibility to setup month end AP accrual. Scan and file or all paid invoices. 1099 workup-reviewing files, obtaining W-9 forms.

Responsibilities

• Post invoices
• Reconcile statements
• Disburse checks
• Balance statements and finalize data
• Prepare accounts for payments and verify data in system
• Follow up on past due accounts and returned checks

Qualifications

• Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Experience in Reynolds and Reynolds is a plus AR/AP
• Accounting degree (preferred, not required)
