Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social outings
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for individuals
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies as directed by supervisors
- Document daily progress notes and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate team members
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of systems and procedures related to providing care for individuals with disabilities
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs of individuals
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
