The Research Specialist will provide assistance with maintaining the mouse colony and laboratory experiments. The Research Specialist position will be a one-year position with the possibility of renewal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining the mouse colony.
Mouse work and experiments may occur on weekends and/or holidays, so ability to be flexible is necessary.
Responsible for routine laboratory maintenance activities- such as cleaning and sterilization of laboratory equipment, making solutions, maintains laboratory inventory of chemicals and supplies.
Maintain records and files of laboratory work in laboratory notebooks and/or computer databases.
Under general supervision, perform defined research experiments, including seizure induction paradigms, EEG surgery, EEG analyses, and behavioral assessments.
Compiles data for grants, publications, and presentations.
Performs related responsibilities as required by principal investigator.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
