Description

The Goizueta Business School is in search of a Program Director who will help launch and deliver the new Master in Management (MiM) Program by providing community and student outreach, program management, student support, and strategic direction for the non-curricular aspects of the program. The position will report to the Sr. Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and will work closely with the Assistant Dean/Faculty Director of the program. The selected candidate will be high-energy, enthusiastic, student-centric, and detail oriented. The person will display proven ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and activities, to work collaboratively and proactively, and to steward initiatives to successful completion in an autonomous setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Directs the strategic planning, development and implementation of a large and complex program or of several smaller programs.
  • Plans, administers and monitors program budgets.
  • Develops short and long term goals and objectives.
  • Oversees related special projects.
  • May represent the program in various national and international settings.
  • May manage the solicitation of funding from foundation, corporate, individual and governmental donors.
  • Collaborates with and seeks the support of representatives from other organizations.
  • Establishes and administers policies and procedures.
  • Supervises staff.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

PRIMARY/ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Direct the overall administrative planning and implementation of the MiM program, in coordination with the Faculty Director.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to clients for all non-academic aspects of immersion projects; help source and coordinate annual project slate.
  • Provide student academic advising for elective selection and degree tracking.
  • Plan and manage program delivery, extra-curricular and co-curricular programming, and student experiences.
  • Plan, administer, and monitor the program budget, financial policies, and expenses.
  • Administer and track policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the program, in collaboration with the Faculty Director.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute MiM Orientation Activities, one or two student program events each semester, and program-specific Graduation.
  • Develop and manage the Course Catalog and program Canvas pages.
  • Provide support for student groups and serve as advisor to student government initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders.
  • Help with admissions outreach, organize campaigns at target schools, and spearhead outreach to Emory College students.
  • Work with marketing team and admissions office to update and revitalize all outreach and marketing materials.
  • Work with Registrar’s office to develop class schedule, oversee continuation and Dean’s list dissemination and facilitate degree clearance issues.
  • Serve as Honor/Conduct Code compliance liaison official.
  • Serve as liaison to Office of Accessibility Services to ensure student learning accommodation needs are met.
  • Work with University offices of student financial services, health services, parking, housing, etc as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to program work and seven years of related experience which includes two years at a management level, OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of program management or related experience in an educational institution at a university level working with students of similar background to Emory students is highly preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
