Description

Emory University and the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine announce the vacancy for Assistant Professor, Clinical Education Faculty - School of Medicine in the PA Program. This position is for one day per week, or 0.2FTE. e.g. each Wednesday

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Clinical year coordination
  • Clinical site development
  • Student advisement
  • Continued faculty development
  • Participate in ongoing program evaluation and planning
  • Assistance in meeting accreditation requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the program director
  • Inspire, mentor, interact with PA students
  • Share expertise with faculty
  • End-of-Rotations Day coordination and teaching
  • Perform clinical site visits

Additional possible activities:

  • Elective lectures for the clinical year students
  • Advise the program DEI Committee
  • Interview student applicants
  • Help grade summative exams, OSCEs etc.
  • Review Program Director reports/Faculty Mtg minutes
  • Participate in program retreats 
  • Participate in scholarly activities
  • Other responsibilities as needed
