The Director, Finance, Service Line is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategic planning for a service line.
Capital Planning and Strategy: Review the 10-year budget outlook for capital equipment replacement and collaborate with purchasing committees as required; Work with senior department leaders to develop business cases and proformas for capital purchases within under and over threshold budgets; Work with senior department leaders to escalate capital purchases for break/fix situations and adjust capital purchase outlook; Develop and structure key performance financial indicators to reflect strategic priorities.
Operational Finance: Ensure accurate and timely coding and documentation by working with HB revenue cycle and CPD; Collaborate with modality and division leaders to develop the annual operational budget; Review monthly and ad hoc reports for performance evaluation; Review general ledger and variance reporting; Coordinate with senior department leaders to identify cost savings through effective supply chain management; Manage physician compensation plans; Manage vendor service contract payments and ensure compliance within established limits; Manage service contract addendums for the installation base; Knowledge of revenue cycle management and medical billing practices in technical and professional budgeting.
Professional Finance: Ensure accurate and timely coding and documentation by working with PB revenue cycle and CPD; Collaborate with modality and division leaders to develop the annual operational budget; Review monthly and ad hoc reports for performance evaluation; Conduct general ledger and variance analysis; Coordinate with the Executive Administrator to identify cost savings through effective supply chain management.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Possess skills in financial analysis and modeling, capital budgeting, and financial forecasting; Understand accounting principles and financial statements; Develop and present business cases and proposals; Communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and purchasing committees; Stay informed about industry trends and Emory regulations related to capital equipment and procurement; Apply strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
