Job Description: Teaching junior high and high school ELA courses.

This candidate will be in charge of teaching Junior High/ Senior High ELA classes.

• Plan and present engaging lessons that drive student mastery of ELA curriculum.
• Create and administer assessments that determine student learning.
• Use formative assessment and data to inform intervention and extension activities.
• Help build and evaluate district level curriculum and assessment for ELA courses
• Contribute to positive school culture with students, parents/guardians, and school staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues and continuously improve practices.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• Hold a valid Indiana teaching license or capable of getting an emergency license.
• Licensed to teach middle and high school ELA courses.
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Commitment to equity and rigor for all learners
• Professional demeanor towards colleagues, students, parents/guardians, and administrators.
