Emich Chevrolet is seeking a working experienced Shop foreman. This unique role will require someone with ambition and drive to lead, train, and manage the shop capacity and Staff. To ensure success as a shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch shop foreman should be able to anticipate and address hindrances to operational efficiency. 

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and manage workflow to technicians (dispatch the right job to the right technician)
• Train, guide, and assist technicians to grow their knowledge and training with the manufacturer.
• Prioritizes and controls all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention. (Train technicians as necessary)
• When necessary, take over Work in the shop to effectively and efficiently take care of customers concerns.
• Assist and speak with customers when difficult to duplicate concerns arise (including test drives with customers to verify concern's)
• Manage special tools (ensure locations are documented for accountability and perform inspections of tools every 6 months)
• Manage shop cleanliness and organization
• Enforce and monitor hazardous waste, shop equipment, and personal, to ensure we are following Federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. 
• Create and Manage technician schedules.
• Perform annual service technician reviews with management.
• other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a technician (GM Experience Preferred)
• Master technician Certified or with the goal of becoming Master certified in all categories.
• Must have strong Diagnostic skills and experience.
• 2 years Leadership skills/experience
• Must own your own tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
