Emerzian Woodworking, Inc., a well-established, premier manufacturer of Custom Architectural Millwork, Cabinetry and Casework is hiring an additional Estimator. You will assist the Chief Estimator, with responsibility for evaluating costs for projects such as Hospitals, Educational and School Buildings, Athletic Facilities, Corporate Office Spaces and Custom Fixtures. We’re seeking an energetic individual with a strong work ethic, enthusiastic attitude, and good attention to detail.

Qualifications:

2 - 3 years experience as an Estimator for Construction Industry trades; commercial cabinetry, casework, millwork and/or architectural doors a definite plus.

Proficient in reading architectural drawings and specifications and performing take offs.

Knowledge of AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) Standards preferred.

Proficient in use of estimating software; experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift and/or Tradesoft ERP software a plus.

Proficient in general computer operations; MS Office; Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Have good math skills.

Be well organized, detail oriented and extremely accurate.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities/projects at one time and meet deadlines.

Ability to listen and follow directions.

Ability to communicate clearly by phone, in person and via email.

Must exhibit professionalism, dependability, accountability, and punctuality.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Review bid invitations and prepare project documents according to adopted procedures.

Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and addendums.

Perform accurate takeoffs for materials and labor including but not limited to: Countertops, Cabinets, Reception Desks, Custom Millwork Pieces, Trim, Base Moldings, Windowsills, Wall Caps and Paneling.

Request Vendor and Subcontractor Quotes.

Prepare and issue any RFI 's needed for clarification.

Create accurate estimates for materials and labor to complete a project according to plans and specs..

Communicate directly with General Contractors and Clients when needed.

Perform other related duties as necessary.
