The Director of Clinic Operations (DCO) directs the daily clinical operations of all regional EmergeOrtho locations. The DCO coordinates the strategic operations of clinics and ancillary services by installing a sound management network and delegating key duties appropriately. A group of managers, supervisors, and staff, including clinical, ancillary, and patient support services report to the DCO, relaying operational matters, necessary changes, current events, and the status of any assigned projects. The DCO assumes a lead role in the establishment of company policies, procedures, strategies, organization, and development of corporate culture and operational identity.
The DCO works collaboratively with other members of Management and with physicians to optimize all aspects of the practice, rendering efficient and profitable services while ensuring excellent patient care. When the potential for company expansion arises, the DCO participates in the development of growth plans. The DCO must maintain an accurate knowledge of healthcare regulations mandated by the government.
