Purpose: This position’s primary role is to generate and update master Emergency Physician, Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner (APC’s) schedules for EPPA emergency departments and clinics. In addition, the Physician Scheduling and Staffing Specialist will make timely adjustments to accommodate site fluctuations, planned and unplanned absences to ensure appropriate staff coverage at each location. Position performs day-to-day administrative support tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

 Key Result Areas: The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

1. The Staffing/Scheduling Specialist must be able to produce provider work shift schedules; taking in account contract level needs, overtime, leaves of absences and staff needs by emergency department or clinic location.
2. Completes PA/NP student scheduling.
3. Understand the dynamic work environment and unique staffing needs health care sites and clinics.
4. Understand and utilize complex computer software programs to prepare, change and update master schedules.
5. Prepare reports and statistics regarding providers, shifts, hours, schedules, as requested or used in work.
6. Accountable for finding appropriate daily staffing solutions when gaps and vacancies arise in schedule.
7. Verifies the accuracy of invoices or other accounting documents or records.
8. Assists Credentialing functions as assigned.
9. Other duties as assigned.
