Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Completion of an approved Health Information Technology/Coding education program
- Must have current CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or CPC certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care coding preferred
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:Must have one of the following active certifications:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Certified Coding Specialist Physician based (CCS-P)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
