About the Clinical Director of Mental Health position:

Emerge Pediatric Therapy is excited to be creating a mental health program to provide more comprehensive care to the children and families that we serve. The ideal candidate for this position would be an effective leader, with experience in clinical mental health and school counseling. This candidate would need to love working as a part of an interdisciplinary team, be collaborative but also a self-starter, and be enthusiastic about working toward a shared vision of what it means to best serve our clients. The person we bring on board for this position would be tasked with building the foundation for the mental health program, help to find the right counselors to add to the team, and provide supervision.

Daily Tasks

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and adolescents
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care
• Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client sessions and progress
• Stay current on best practices and research in the field of mental health counseling
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client care and progress
• Manage a team of counselors as the program grows

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related field
• Current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions
• Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Skills

• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred
