Emerald Heights is Hiring a Janitor - Day Shift Near Redmond, WA
Regular schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8am-4:30pm.
$20.50- 26.00
100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30 hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). In addition, we offer a Flexible Spending account for medical and childcare reimbursements with a $500.00 rollover feature (No Rollover on childcare) AND the option to purchase Long Term disability insurance. Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20 hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

- Responds to emergency calls such as minor maintenance or housekeeping, smoke and fire alarm calls and pull cords.
- Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
- Empties and transports trash, recycling and documents to be shredded to proper collection bins.
- Gathers and take soiled linens to holding area using universal infection control safeguards.
- Dusts and disinfects surfaces in resident rooms, apartments, and offices.
- Performs general cleaning task not limited to bathrooms, locker rooms, including sinks, tubs/showers, toilets, urinals windows, glass doors light fixtures, vent covers and walls.
- Performs floor care including sweeping, damp-mopping and vacuuming. Strips, refinishes (wax) and buffs (high speed) hard floor surfaces.
- Restocks supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and hand soap.
- Conducts resident security ring checks.
- Sets up room(s) for events, including moving furniture.
- Changes-out laundry room cleaning chemicals containers.
- Performs swimming pool and facility cleaning tasks.
- Gathers and transports Bio-hazardous waste and Infectious linens to holding areas using universal infection control safeguards.
- Utilizes ladders to removes and rehang privacy curtains, sheers and drapes throughout the campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- One year janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to learn new procedures and techniques quickly.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently or in a team.
- Ability to keep confidentiality.
- Common sense and good judgment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers in English.
