PRIMARY FUNCTION

The accountant is responsible for creating and maintaining records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within Turnkey Project Services, LLC. Maintain general ledger as needed. Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports. Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• General ledger entry, reconciliation, and auditing.
• Verify the accuracy of sales tax billing and reporting.
• Review, prepare, and distribute periodic financial reporting.
• Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
• Review and analyze gross profit reports.
• Process work in progress reports, accruals, and account reconciliations for month end.
• Develop and implement proper processes and procedures for the keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
• Work well independently or within the team to problem-solve issues and accomplish tasks and goals.
• Provide support and service to both internal and external customers in a courteous, professional, customer service oriented manner.
• Participate in quality/continuous improvement activities within individual job function, the accounting department and the company.

REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• INTERNAL: Interacts with sales teams & accounting coordinators to resolve issues with general ledger, and other exception transactions as they occur.
• EXTERNAL: Interacts with external vendors to resolve issues relating to banking, sales tax remittance, licensing, or statements.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong experience with Excel • Good problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• 4-year degree
• Experience with Crystal Reports
• Experience with Vivid software
