Job Title: Quality Control Specialist (B)

Job Summary:

EMCOR Government Services has a need for a Quality Control Specialist for a Proposal Bid Effort with NASA Armstrong at Edwards AFB, CA.

*** This position is contingent upon contract award. ***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Contractor's overall Quality Management System and is independent of the maintenance organization. Must ensure that this policy is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization.
  • Responsible for reporting and documenting performance levels and degrees of compliance with the Quality Control Program.
  • Responsible for testing and inspecting services regarding work performed by employees and subcontract staff. Work to be measured for compliance with contract requirements and performance standards. Inspections to focus on assessing equipment reliability and condition by ensuring preventive maintenance and repairs are being correctly performed.
  • Responsible for generating deficiency reports, assigning corrective actions, and tracking corrective actions through completion. This includes follow-up with management to ensure corrective actions taken were effective.
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting equipment installation or service quality and able to develop standards and plans for inspections, workflow for equipment repairs, and assist in managing waste.
  • Responsible for providing input and proposing and implementing solutions to equipment installation defects and recurring quality control issues.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating / informing management and quality assurance personnel about equipment installation defects and poor personnel performance.
  • Responsible for communicating, coordinating, and interfacing with other technically qualified personnel as required to include all trades personnel, client, Management Personnel, and specialty subcontractors.
  • Responsible and capable of working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years' experience in quality management for facility operations & maintenance of industrial equipment at an industrial facility requiring compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Certification through American Society for Quality, OSHA-30, and ISO-9001.
  • Must have hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire maintenance and operation procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of equipment testing and best practices for testing product construction and durability against specifications
  • Two (2) years' experience utilizing CMMS (preferably Maximo) to validate work performance and equipment condition as well as other trending & risk analysis reporting.
  • Must be capable of performing physical labor including, walking, standing, lift up to 40lbs, pulling, climbing up and down ladders and agility/dexterity to perform duties
  • Must be physically capable of working in confined
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR
