Job Description:

Must be able to read drawings (prints). Must be able to design and install ridged conduit, cable trays and manage wire pulls as directed by Foreman. Must be able to teach and direct apprentice. Must be knowledgeable in Industrial parts, be able to give material take offs and organize the apprentice to complete the job without re-work. Must have previous apprentice traits leading into journeyman stage of career. Must have proof of at least four years in electrical trade for consideration. Must have worked in Industrial sites preferably refinery work. Must be have leadership skills, take directions, work well with others and most importantly practice work safety. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times. Must have basic journeyman hand tools plus meter.

Job Performance Requirements:

Must be able to furnish own transportation to and from job sites or staging areas. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. Must be able to comply with safety standards. Must have own hand tools. Workers should be able to: rate information using personal judgement or standards that can be measured or checked; work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; perform a variety of duties, which may change often; use reason and logic; perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately; see details in objects or drawings; recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings; and picture flat objects as 3-dimensional objects. Physically, workers must be able to: work easily and skillfully with hands; climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and vessels; see well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors; reach for, handle, and grasp wires, conduit, and hand tools; bend, crouch, and work in small places; and lift and carry objects related to performing the job task. A valid Texas driver's license is preferred, but will accept a State or Government issued Identification card. Upon request, must be able to provide either an NCCER or Journeyman Electrician license.
